I. Genetic disorders

Genetic disorders account for a major part of the workload of clinical medicine. However, some of these disorders can benefit from genetic diagnosis, by determining an anomaly located in the DNA. In this way it is possible to:

- confirm the suspected diagnosis,
- offer genetic counselling to the family,
- initiate early remedial and/or preventive treatment, in particular in the case of late-onset disorders.

II. Sampling Procedure

Our Research and Development team has developed diagnostic tests for genetic disorders based on an original sampling method, using saliva cells instead of blood samples.
